In addition to a range of ticketed events, the Polish Scottish Heritage festival will be hosting a range of free drop in events over the weekend of the 21st-22nd June. This includes:

Arts and Crafts Fair & Pop Up Library, Sat 21 & Sun 22 June, 10:00-17:00: Both Poland and Scotland have a great arts-and-crafts tradition. Come and see what happens when this heritage gets mixed up with a bit of Scottish spirit. Stalls, mini workshops and craftsmanship shows. More info: here

Polish Scottish Heritage Exhibition, Sat 21 & Sun 22 June, 10:00-17:00: This exhibition will use podcasts, film, photography and text to help you discover the stories of the places, events and people that connected our two nations. More info: here

The Scots in Poland, Sat 21 June, 11:00-12:30: Drawing on a lifetime of exploring, writing and broadcasting about Scots, their culture and their journeys across the globe, Billy Kay reflects on the history of the Scots in Poland. More info: here

Davno Concert, Sat 21 June, 16:00-16:45: Female singing collective Davno will join us with a concert of beautiful folk music in the traditions of Poland, Russia and the Ukraine. More info: here

Family Workshops, Sun 22 June, 10:00-17:00: Take your family on a creative journey discovering our Polish and Scottish heritage. Make costumes to dress a bear & build mountains on a real three dimensional map! More info: here

War Hero Bear, Sun 22 June, 11:00-11:45: Jenny tells the story of a tiny orphaned bear cub adopted by Polish soldiers during World War II; little bear cub Wojtek, who became a war hero. More info: here

Our Shared Heritage,  Sun 22 June, 13:00-14:00: A music based workshop for all ages exploring and celebrating the rich association that Scotland has had with Poland. More info: here. More info: here
