Summerhall & Barney’s Beer Festival 2014
Summerhall & Barney’s Beer Festival 2014
What is that we hear you say?
Warm sun just at the right height to bathe our courtyard in glorious heat… Yes – Its that time of year. So we guess we better get the rack out order and up the glasses…
It’s back!
The 3rd Summerhall & Barney’s Beer Festival.
We have spent the last few months deliberating how to pack the sessions with even more beery goodness & entertainment. This event will have a more local focus with beers from Barney’s, Pilot, and Elixir (a collaboration brew with Stewarts). There will of course be many other beers from further afield including Germany, USA & Belgium. Our resident distillery Pickering’s Gin, Edinburgh’s first distillery in over 150 years, will also be offering a taste of something other than beer to shake things up a bit!
Local street vendors Wild Rover Organic and Fernando the pancake man will tempt you with a selection of tasty offerings chosen to complement the beer – served from a converted 50 year old Land Rover! Over the course of the weekend there will also be live music from Pygmies & the Brewery Brass Allstars, an aerial artist, late bar with DJs, beer talks and brewery & distillery doors open and tours.
If that isn’t enough to tempt you, we have added a Friday post work shorter stripped back streamlined session, packed with fun – we are calling it the “Power Hour!*” As always the ticket includes a souvenir glass with a complementary Barney’s beer in it.
*actually three hours of power…
Strictly over 18 event.
