Summerhall’s Beer FestivALE!
Summerhall’s Beer FestivALE!
The Summerhall Beer Festival is back, with some of the best of Scottish craft beer on site at the Southside creative hub for the arts. Summerhall’s beer festivALE will open up the old Veterinary College’s Dissection Room to thirsty beer fans and novices alike.
Sessions over the weekend start with Power Hour at 4.30pm on Friday 5 December. Punters are invited to feel at home in Edinburgh’s creative village where residents range from theatre makers to app designers, gin is distilled round the corner from the festival venue and our craft brewer Barney has revived a three hundred year old tradition of brewing on the site.
Summerhall has invited some of the best Scottish brewers down to the arts venue with a slight change to the festivALE for the fourth event at the venue. Alongside resident brewer Barney will be Williams Brothers Brewing Co, new to the Edinburgh craft scene – Top Out Brewery, Pickering’s Gin and The Rum Guys from Solid Liquid, all running their own bars. All brewers (and distillers) have been challenged to stock their bars with specials just for the event. Summerhall will also host our very own bottle bar with some regulars from our bar, The Royal Dick, and some specials brought in just for the FestivALE.
The weekend’s events kick off again with Friday night’s POWER HOUR which will treat the Friday after work to a reduced price ticket and all the soft rock power ballads they could ever dream of.
