The Edinburgh Short Film Festival, Edinburgh’s accessible, friendly and eclectic short film festival,is now in its 6th year! Dedicated and passionate about short film, we’ve brought some of the best contemporary Scottish, UK and international short film to the Scottish capital since 2011.

This year, we’re excited to bring a programme of outstanding contemporary UK and World short cinema, featuring 39 UK premieres and 29 award-winning short films!

There’s a total of 77 short films from 23 different countries ranging from a terrific drama from Afghanistan to comedy from New Zealand and animation from Mexico as well as no less than 18 Scottish shorts.

On top of all that, we’re planning free to attend film funding workshops, screenwriting masterclasses,a script pitch competition for young writers, lively networking events, Q & A sessions, meet the film-makers as well as late night parties along with some of the best Bluegrass this side of the M8 from our very own, Brimstone Blake!
