Flying the Edinburgh flag will be synth-rock band DTH PDL, who also rocked up at Leith’s fantastic Hidden Door Festival earlier this year, and the always entertaining Kid Canaveral, whose third album Faulty Inner Dialogue came out last year on Lost Map Records. Plastic Animals, who released their first album in 2016 nine years after getting together, will be plugging in and turning the volume up for their set, and Meursault, who smashed their Summerhall headline set last year, are back once more.
Representing Glasgow’s vibrant music scene, recognised this year with the 6 Music Festival descending upon the city, will be alt-pop band RAZA; multi-disciplinary artist and songwriter Duncan Marquiss, formerly of The Phantom Band; and hardcore band Anxiety.
With these additions to the lineup, as well as Nothing Ever Happens Here’s partnership with Made In Scotland for Withered Hand, Iklan, and Savage Mansion’s show, Scotland’s grassroots music scene is celebrated at Summerhall throughout August.
