"We are extremely proud and humbled to be working with artists and supporters of such incredible calibre. To know that such talented artists are creating work within our walls, has imbued both the building and the wider artistic community with just the sense of possibility, passion and vigour we had hoped for. It has truly been a privilege to be working on this project and we hope that this final showing will reflect all the hard work of those involved."

As an emerging arts venue in Edinburgh committed to artists’ development, Summerhall has been offering a year long residency program for a specially selected group of arts practitioners and theatre makers. In conjunction with Creative Scotland, Puppet Animation Scotland and The FST Assistant Director Bursary Scheme, three groups of artists; Xana Marwick, Clare Duffy and Paper Doll Militia were selected and have been working on exciting new pieces of work during Summerhall’s 2013-2014 residency cycle.

As this process draws to a close we are inviting you to attend a special preview of their work at 12pm on Sunday the 29th of June, to showcase the amazing and diverse pieces that have been developed within the building. Ranging from intense and engaging light installation pieces, to immersive theatre and narrative acrobatic work, it is set to be an interesting and exciting event that will showcase the fantastic talents of all those involved.

Guests will be provided with light refreshments as they take this whistle stop tour around the various sites housing the artists work. The session will end with a Q & A session, where guests will have the opportunity to ask the artists about their experiences within the residency program.
