A Masterclass in Theatre
Described as the ‘alchemist of minimalist theatre’, Tang Shu Wing, director of the Tang Shu Wing Theatre Studio presents a 3 day workshop based on the Chinese aesthetics of Yin and Yang, starting from the exploration of the 5 pre-language human expressions: voice, body gesture, spatial displacement, facial expression and breathing. Players will learn to physicalize a scene from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet through constructing choreography of movements and vocal expression, i.e. a physical language of expression through meditation, Tai Chi and choreography.
