Push The Boat Out: Edinburgh’s International Poetry Festival

Diverse, eclectic, entertaining and challenging – contemporary poetry is in pretty great shape. A venn diagram with poetry at its heart, Push the Boat Out is where artforms conspire, cross-pollinate and collide.

Join us throughout our festival weekend as we fill the hallowed halls, labs and theatres of Summerhall with a polyphonic explosion of poetry in all its glorious forms. We’ll have it all, from performance, spoken word, hip hop, rap, songwriting and film, to video game and visual art workshops, walks, and in-depth debates about criticism, translation and doomscrolling.

Poetry will never stand still. There are challenging times ahead. Get in the boat, compañeros!
