Fiona Dean

I am an artist that works in jewellery and taxidermy. I work alone from my studio in East Lothian, where I try to cater for the more curios minded customer that loves beautiful, unique things.

My products are priced from £1 – £2000 and everything in between. From cast silver wishbone necklaces, fox skulls, oyster shell decorations to taxidermied owls.

In 2012, after training with Scottish taxidermist George Jamieson, I developed a fascination with the actual process of taxidermy, regularly returning to advance my skills.

My work has evolved from a passion for art and science, blurring the boundaries between the two subjects, and attempting to untangle some of the psychological and biological questions between the two fields.
