At the heart of MAiK socks is a deep desire to protect the environment and the people that live in it. Here’s how we do things to make sure that happens.

First of all, MAiK is committed to reducing our carbon footprint. From summer 2021 we’re partnering with Ecologi and 1% for the Planet on that journey, supporting environmental causes by donating 1% of our total sales and heading for the goal to become entirely carbon neutral.

We also use GOTS certified organic cotton and OEKOTEX standard 100 for every pair of socks – and when it comes to cotton, you don’t get better than that. The dyes our manufacturers work with are eco-friendly which means that colours stay brighter for longer and don’t do unnecessary harm to the environment during production.

We choose our suppliers really carefully, forming long-standing partnerships as we go. Each of our suppliers has decades of experience and are totally focused on sustainable production. Every employee is guaranteed to be paid fairly and treated well and each supplier has the certificates to back it all up.

Finally, our packaging is FSC-certified and entirely biodegradable and recyclable. Even our tape is made from paper. We also use water-based vegetable ink, no glue and 90% recycled material to make our sock box.
