Welcome to Summerhall's Christmas Market 2022!

Summerhall’s annual Christmas Market returns in December 2022, and this year’s market will be bigger than ever!

Instead of our usual one-day market, this year’s event will run across two days, with the option for stallholders to book either a one or two-day pitch. And to make things even more exciting, we’ve also added brand-new stallholder spaces in our courtyards!

Taking place on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December, the Christmas Market will include indoor and outdoor stalls featuring some of Edinburgh and Scotland’s best independent makers as well as tasty food stands and entertainment throughout the day.

Information For Applicants

We have a limited number of stalls available for the Christmas Market and completion of the application form does not guarantee a space.

Our Christmas Market Events Team review all stallholder applications and will offer stalls to a select number of applicants. They work hard to ensure that Summerhall’s Christmas Market includes a variety of stallholders and reflects some of the very best independent makers that Edinburgh and Scotland has to offer.

Successful applicants will be charged £100 +VAT for one day of trade, or £150 +VAT for two days of trade.

Important Dates

• Tuesday 21st September – Applications open
• Friday 30th September, 12:00 – Applications close
• Friday 21st October – Successful and unsuccessful applicants will be notified on or before this date. You will be notified as early as possible by email, and will receive an invoice for the Christmas Market inclusion fee and any additional power that you require
• Friday 28th October, 12:00 – Inclusion fee must be paid before this date
• Saturday 3rd December – Christmas Market Day 1
• Sunday 4th December – Christmas Market Day 2

Market Stalls Information

Successful applicants for market stalls will be offered a place in our Christmas Market, which will take place at Summerhall on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th December 2022.

  • Each stallholder will be allocated a 6ft wooden trestle table.
  • Power is only available with prior request at a rate of £20 (+VAT) per day. Please specify in your application if you wish to have this.
  • Summerhall will provide a communal card-reader charging station free of charge, however we request that you bring your own cables/docks for this.
  • All electronic items need to be PAT tested.
  • Power may not be available to all stalls
  • Advertisement, décor, or stock that could pose a risk to health and safety or encroach on other stallholders’ space is not permitted. Summerhall’s discretion is final.
