Over the span of her career, Jolie Holland has knotted together a century of American song – jazz, blues, soul, rock and roll – into some stew that is impossible to categorise with any conventional critical terminology. This is her burden and her gift, to know all of these American songs of the last ten decades in her head and her heart, and to have to wrestle with their legacy.

Nottingham-based songwriter and producer Jack Kenworthy’s life was upended in February 2021, months before the release of his debut album Wake, when his brother-in-law Greg Baker was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. What followed was the most unbelievable year of a family’s togetherness when life seemed set on fracturing the life of a young man.

Based along the Firth of Forth coast, post punk and electronica artist Amateur Cult brings his full band to Summerhall for the synth rock meets art punk single launch of ‘Eyes’.

Sunda Arc are brothers Nick Smart and Jordan Smart, best known as two-thirds of jazz-influenced minimalists Mammal Hands. Sunda Arc channels Nick and Jordan’s love of electronic and dance music, without losing any of their deep musicality.

Savage Mansion return with their fourth album ‘The Shakes’, and an Edinburgh headline show in support of their strongest, boldest record yet. A record rooted in a deep well of emotion, and the rigorously thought-through reasoning of writers thoroughly in love with their influences. Support comes from Martha Ffion (Lost Map Records), with a full band set of songs from 2023’s acclaimed album The Wringer.

Manu Delago – Grammy nominee, composer, innovator and acclaimed percussionist – will be joined by singers from vocal ensemble Mad About Lemon and the multi-talented Clemens Rofner as he shares this versatile and powerful album with audiences across Europe. Famous for his dynamic and surprising live shows, Delago has toured the world and collaborated with artists such as Björk, The Cinematic Orchestra and Olafur Arnalds.

Edinburgh’s community radio station EHFM are teaming up with Mare Music for an Independent Venue Week special in Summerhall’s Old Lab. The show is a celebration of both local talent and our wonderful local music scene, featuring two of Scotland’s finest new acts, Nikhita and Azamiah. Nikhita is an artist based in Edinburgh. Using music
